I am just like you.
Sometimes I post pictures of my nails on the Internet and say it's pre-cleanup, when I really have no intention of cleaning them up.
I don't have a DSLR or a lightbox. I have a digital camera that was kind of okay five years ago.
I don't take care of my cuticles. I'm also not entirely sure what my cuticles are.
I can't do freehand French tips to save my life. Actually, I can't do anything freehand.
I enter contest after contest, and I never win.
I think that cheap polish and makeup are sometimes better than the expensive brands.
I feel ridiculous every time I say "mani" or "manicure."
But through hard work and a lot of Internet browsing, I've learned some things. However, I still have a long way to go.
I still think lip liner is scary.
I know the difference between a creme and a jelly polish, but a crelly? Not so much.
Filling in eyebrows is easier said than done, unless you want some caterpillars on your face.
Whoever said contouring was easy (I'm looking at you, Physician's Formula How to Bronze) is a big fat liar.
Warm and cool mean nothing to me besides temperatures.
I'm impatient; I'm careless, willing to accept imperfections.
So, here's my journey. Follow my attempts at beauty. Learn what not to do. I will be posting swatches, reviews, tutorials, inspiration, and more.
